08 Jun THE SUCCESS OF MONTE CARLO FASHION WEEK 2016
Just a few days ago Monaco has been invaded by the world of luxury. From 2nd to 4th of June the world’s famous Principality has been the theatre of the fourth edition of Monte Carlo Fashion Week: runway shows and events involving the best brands of high fashion.
This huge event has been organized by Chambre Monégasque de la Mode, in association with the Government of Monaco and the Tourist Office of the City-State. It turned out to be the perfect place to find out the tendencies for the new-to-come 2017 spring collection. Nature textures, flowers, fantasy of colour and astonishing elements of decoration: this is what we have to expect.
There was also space for rising brands. The Oceanographic Museum has been chosen as the place where these emerging brands could present in exclusive their products to the buyers, the press and to the great amount of international guests. In other words, the Monte Carlo Fashion Week is the best breakthrough in the fashion system today.
QUIIMA Luxury Brand is looking forward to this opportunity to enter into the high fashion market. This is why we decide to take a close look to this year edition and take you to a journey among one of the most exclusive fashion event of the world.
The evolution of global fashion retailing
The whole event started at the Cafè Paris with the exclusive conference on the evolution of global fashion retailing, which saw the partnership of Sistema Moda Italia.
Fashion masters and press organisations have discussed on the fast evolution of fashion retail, the change of behaviour by the customers and the new opportunities that the web marketing can offer to the high fashion brands.
Many celebrities attended to the conference: international buyers like Claudio Betti, Vice President of CIBM (Italian Chamber of Fashion Buyer), Mathilde de Saint Anthos of the Neiman Marcus in Paris, Song Pham from Hong Kong and Irina Goudkova, IFD (international Fashion Diffusion) President and Ambassador for the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode.
Monte Carlo Fashion Week Awards
The main event of the 3rd of June was the MCFW Awards Ceremony. These awards were created by the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode in 2015 and were won by Chapurin, maison Versace and Mario Boselli. This year the ones who came back with the prize were Philippe Plein, the german stylist and founder of the self titled brand, Stella Jean, stylist based in Rome, and Giovanni Gastel, photographer from Milan.
The highlight of the entire ceremony was certainly during the celebration of Philippe Plein winning, which was announced by non other than the special guest of the evening, the Princess Charlene of Monaco.
MCFW: One of a kind
This year’s success is only the latest accomplishment of the Monte Carlo Fashion Week, which is reinforcing its role of talent scout and its unique possibility of offering exclusive location for event, press conference and exhibitions of the most important brand of the world.
Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode said about the 2016 edition: “We are very proud of this year’s results. The mission is clear and full of satisfaction: promote new rising brands alongside the celebration of the masters of Fashion. The perfect mix, glorified by the wonders of the city of Monaco”.
The expectation are already high for next year edition of the Monte Carlo Fashion Week. Meanwhile, QUIIMA is preparing for its own debut into the Fashion market. We are ready to change the way you consider elegance and finesse with our style.
